1960 13th Ave. Dr., SE
Hickory, NC 28602

This year's NCNA Convention is again being held at the Hickory Metro Convention Center in Hickory, North Carolina. This will be the seventh year that we have chosen to hold our annual Convention and Coin Show in the expansive Hickory Metro Convention Center. It was chosen for its ease of access from both Interstate 40 and Interstate 77 and has proven to be an excellent venue for numismatics. Thus we have again secured a 12,800-square-foot Exhibit Hall for this year’s convention and show and invite all to come and enjoy three days of collecting fun with us. Through the Hickory Metro Convention Center we continue to offer a modern, large, and well-lit bourse area in which to conduct your business or view the educational exhibits. There are amble meeting rooms for our scheduled educational presentations and our organization's annual meeting and awards banquet. There are excellent public facilities to make this an enjoyable and hassle free convention again this year. Plus, there are also plenty of hotel accommodations and restaurants in the area to serve the traveling collector. For more information on the facilities, hotel accommodations, or restaurants just follow the links provided below.

The   YN   Zone

The YN ZONE is open to all Young Numismatists (young coin collectors) up to 18 years of age.  The YN ZONE is a self paced and supervised activity that is designed to educate young collectors on various aspects of the coin collecting hobby.  The YN ZONE in addition to teaching the young collector about the hobby, rewards them with prizes such as collectable coins, numismatic books, and coin supplies.  The average young collector should be able to complete these activities in about 1-1.5 hours.

The YN ZONE works by giving the young collector the opportunity to earn YN credits for each activity.  Each young collector can earn up to $15.00 worth of YN credits that can be exchanged for prizes.   All prizes have been donated by the NCNA and sponsoring coin dealers.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate with their young collectors.

The YN ZONE will be open Saturday (10am-4pm) and Sunday (10am-3pm).
