An attempted theft took place after the Charlotte show, Sept. 13. A dealer left the show and headed I-77 N. After he crossed the Virginia line he thought that it was safe and stop to go to the restroom. At that time an SUV tried to run him down. he managed to get back to his vehicle and got away. The State police were called to investigate. At first they reported a tracking device was attached to the car but said that it was non-functioning. Later they opened it and found that  it was a set of keys that a previous owner had left in the fender well.

The dealer was doing ok.

 

That tracking device was a false alarm. But it does bring up the fact that with the technical advancements that it could be possible. Please check your tires, and the rest of your vehicles when you leave a show. Try not to stop unless that you have to.
